Job Title: ATO Network Engineer

Salary: $100,000-$105,000
Location: [Insert Location] (On-site, Remote, or Hybrid)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ATO Network Engineer to support the development, configuration, and approval of Authority to Operate (ATO) packages. This role requires expertise in network management, security, and compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) guidelines. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with project development teams, liaise with network administrators, and ensure that security, mission, and operational goals are met.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) within the last 8 years.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a journeyman working within the Government ATO process.

  • Proficiency in network management and security with demonstrated success in previous project experience.

  • Strong understanding of key concepts, including:

    • Purpose and components of an ATO

    • Information, hardware, and software boundaries

    • Cross Domain Solution (CDS) concepts and requirements

  • At least one of the following certifications (mandatory):

    • Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)

    • Certified Information Systems Security Officer (CISSO)

    • Federal IT Security Professional-Manager (FITSP-M)

    • GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst (GCIA)

    • GIAC Cloud Security Automation (GCSA)

    • GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH)

    • GIAC Security Leadership Certification (GSLC)

    • GIAC Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP)

    • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)

    • CISSP-Information Systems Security Management Professional (CISSP-ISSMP)

  • Compliance with DoD 8140 and DAFMAN 17-1305 is mandatory.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Collateral Secret Security Clearance.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work efficiently toward timely task completion.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
