Job Summary |
Auburn Athletics
is excited to begin the search for a Graduate Assistant - Fan Experience! Graduate Assistant responsibilities include developing and implementing marketing and sales plans for assigned sports with a focus on maximizing attendance and ticket sales revenue, preparing all aspects of game-day production and promotions, and designing promotional materials. This provides the GA with opportunities to learn/apply best practices and to develop real-world experiences while also implementing marketing plans for non-ticketed sports with a focus on increasing attendance and awareness, and assisting with database management, analytics and email marketing. |
Essential Functions |
- Work in partnership with the Director of Fan Experience through daily office hours to learn about the development of game production and fan experience for all of Auburn's 19 athletic programs; tasks include, but are not limited to:
- Provide assistance in the distribution of giveaways and promotional items
- Run and direct music to engage fans
- Provide crowd management and supervision for fan zones and other out-of-stadium gatherings prior to and during athletic events
- Responsible for script and timeline production for assigned Auburn sports
- Responsible for developing and implementing marketing and sales plans for Aubie's kids club
- Coordinate with the fan experience staff and local community organizations on the planning and preparation for special city wide and university events
- Developing and implementing promotional plans, through collaboration with the marketing department, for non-ticketed sports with a focus on increasing attendance and awareness
- Standing/walking for up to six hours
- Lifting and moving items up to 75 pounds
- Posses visual acuity to operate golf carts, equipment, manage crowds, and to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work assigned
- Ensures all assigned tasks are carried out in compliance with department, university, SEC and NCAA rules and regulations

Minimum Qualifications |
Education: Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in Public Relations, Fan Experience, Marketing, or another related field
Acceptance into graduate school at Auburn University is required before candidate can officially be offered the position. Position requires a two-year commitment. Applicants selected for the position must then apply for and be accepted into the Auburn University graduate school. Position includes graduate school tuition waiver and monthly stipend. To be on assistantship, a graduate student must:
- be in a degree-seeking program
- satisfy the minimum load specifications of the individual departments and be making satisfactory progress toward the degree
