Retail Space Planner

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Retail Space Planner is essential in creating and overseeing store layouts and planograms to maximize space efficiency, boost product visibility, and drive sales performance. Utilizing tools like JDA/Blue Yonder or similar space planning software, this role ensures that all designs are functional, visually engaging, and aligned with the company's strategic goals. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, technical proficiency, and the ability to transform data insights into practical, impactful solutions.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Strategic Layout Design: Create and optimize store layouts and planograms to boost sales and improve the shopping experience.


  • Data-Driven Planning: Analyze sales and productivity data to enhance layouts and recommend improvements.


  • Tool Proficiency: Maintain and support space planning software, ensuring data accuracy and system reliability.


  • Trend Awareness: Integrate customer feedback, market trends, and business objectives into design strategies.


  • Collaboration: Partner with merchandising, operations, and marketing teams to align layouts with company goals.


  • Performance Tracking: Evaluate layout effectiveness and update designs to meet key performance metrics.


To join our band, you'll need the following experience:



  • Bachelor's degree in retail management, business, merchandising, design, or a related field (preferred); or a combination of relevant experience and education.
  • 2+ years of proven experience in space planning, retail merchandising, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in JDA software or similar space planning tools (e.g., Spaceman, AutoCAD).

Pay Rate: $80,000 - $90,000/yr depending on background and experience.
