Journeyman Practitioner/ Analyst/ Specialist

A Journeyman Practitioner/Analyst/Specialist is responsible for analyzing systems and processes to enhance efficiency, developing and executing test plans, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. They provide expertise in specific domains, mentor junior staff, and maintain documentation of best practices. This role requires a strong understanding of testing methodologies and project management principles, along with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Estimated Starting Salary Range for Journeyman Practitioner/ Analyst/ Specialist: 110K. Pay commensurate with experience.
  • Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

Journeyman Practitioner/ Analyst/ Specialist Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop, maintain, and upgrade automated test scripts and architectures for application products.
  • Write, implement, and report on the status of system test cases.
  • Analyze test cases and provide regular progress reports.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, offering testing expertise to support user requirements for complex software/hardware applications.
  • Direct and/or participate in all phases of risk management assessments and software/hardware development, focusing on user requirements analysis, test design, and test tools selection.
  • Act as the senior advisor responsible for defining, maintaining, and ensuring adherence to quality assurance procedures and processes.
  • Oversee the work of junior staff members and provide guidance as needed.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of systems and processes to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and define project objectives.
  • Design and execute test plans to validate system functionality and performance.
  • Prepare and present reports on findings, recommendations, and progress to stakeholders.
  • Provide expertise in specific domains to support project development and implementation.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Journeyman Practitioner/ Analyst/ Specialist Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

  • Relevant bachelor's degree
  • 3 years of applicable experience in software development/ engineering, computer science, computer engineering, mathematics, or a related discipline.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau).
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
  • Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.
  • Knowledge of project management principles and practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with risk management techniques and best practices.
  • Adaptability to changing project requirements and priorities.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
