This is an exciting opportunity to join the fastest growing channel at the world's largest skincare company. The Amazon Account Manager will help drive our Amazon business to new heights at Beiersdorf USA!

Responsibilities

The Amazon Account Manager is responsible for day-to-day account management and contributing to the overall Amazon customer strategy for our 4 brands - Aquaphor, Coppertone, Nivea, and Eucerin, and will report into our Director, Amazon. This role is based in NYC Metropolitan area, to allow for commuting to our Stamford, CT headquarters on a regular basis.

Day to Day Customer Management and Operations
  • Work directly with Amazon Vendor Operations Team on day-to-day account requirements
  • Vendor central management and Andon cord management
  • Coordinate with Supply/Replenishment teams to secure forecasts in line with sales planning and financial forecasts
  • Communicate weekly shipment status to leadership and cross-functional teams, sharing and risks & opportunities
  • Lead new item setup of all new product innovations and line extensions with Amazon team to ensure on-time, best in class launches
Forecasting & Budgeting
  • Lead the forecasting process for all brands, analyzing historical sales data, market trends, seasonality, and competitive landscape to project future sales.
  • Collaborate with replenishment teams and sales controlling to build accurate sales forecasts that inform overall company S&OP processes
  • Adjust forecasts regularly based on actual sales performance, inventory levels, and promotional activities, providing clear explanations for variances.
  • Prepare S&OP documentation with updated NS forecasting and attend all S&OP meetings as representative of Amazon team
  • Monitor trade spend and communicate status to Account Director on a monthly basis on promo events, claims, etc.
  • Coordinate with Brand teams to provide accurate volume estimates for NPD and line extensions
POS & Trend, and Overall Account Health Reporting
  • Track and report on key performance metrics, such as sales POS growth, trend analyses and overall account health for weekly reporting to brand, commercial and supply chain teams
  • Support in the preparation of Amazon performance reviews to North America group (monthly) and global teams (quarterly)
  • Provide monthly updates on key Amazon health metrics to Account Director: GM, NetPPM, SOROOS, OOS, as well as ASIN profitability
  • Work with Data & Analytics team to deliver key insights across business to Account Director and broader organization
Customer Growth Strategy
  • Develop strategies to drive traffic, trial, and sales across 4 brands through test & learn strategies and thorough ROI analysis
  • Contribute to the Amazon JBP and financial targets, including P&L management and maintenance, cost increase analysis and negotiation, and netPPM analysis
  • Work with cross-functional teams including Content, Digital Shelf & Media teams to have one cohesive view of Amazon customer strategy and performance
  • Analyze KPIs and recommend improvements to drive consumption and profitability
  • Explore opportunities for strategic growth opportunities to continue growing the business
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of direct and hands-on experience with Amazon (knowledge of Vendor Central is a must, Seller Central is an added plus)
  • BS Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field, MBA preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of Amazon day-to-day operations, eCommerce account management, ecommerce standard processes, digital shelf, data & analytics
  • CPG ecommerce experience preferred
  • Strong commercial experience in ecommerce and excellent analytical skills
  • S&OP experience in monthly forecasting, budgeting and operations
  • Very high attention to detail
  • Ability to work cross functionally demonstrated in prior experience
  • Self-starter, resilient and adaptable
  • Must have excellent analytical and communication skills, and have experience working in fast paced global organization
