Huntsman is seeking a Junior Production Planner supporting the Advanced Materials Division located in Los Angeles, California. This position will report to the Supply Chain Manager.

Job Scope

Assist and support the L.A. supply chain planning team with various planning and supply chain functions while developing the necessary skills to move into a senior production planning or other advanced supply chain role.

In summary, as the Junior Production Planner, you will:

• Assist with building raw material and production plans to drive operational activity to align with business objectives.
• Create and communicate production schedule based on current orders, forecast, raw materials, and asset availability.
• Work with Customer Service for changes/corrections, expediting shipments, etc.
• Assist with managing inventory levels within targeted ranges.
• Support the needs of other supply chain operations to ensure alignment with operations and logistics.
• Report on key Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) (OTIF, DIO, SLOB, etc.
• Participate in training essential to expand supply chain knowledge and skills.
• Essential functions require presence in the workplace on a regular basis and an ability to work extra hours if needed. If applicable, ability to work overtime may be needed to ensure required staffing capacity to meet daily production objectives.
• Work collaboratively with team members with different backgrounds and perspectives.
• Assists other employees in accomplishments of Huntsman company goals. Follows instructions and performs other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.
• Participates in Environmental, Health, & Safety initiatives as set forth by the company. Participates in and completes company-required training programs.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in the United States.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

Skills and knowledge

• Must have a level of proficiency with Internet, Email, and Microsoft programs.
• Must have a good safety approach to work and be willing to wear required PPE.
• SAP experience beneficial.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to direct others.
• Must be self-motivated, possess a strong work ethic and a high degree of personal integrity.
• Must have the ability to demonstrate leadership, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Must be team oriented, demonstrate flexibility and have a willingness to multi-task.
• Must be able to sit in front of a computer at desk for long periods of time.
• Must be able to walk, stand, and climb stairs frequently.
• Preferred hours 6:00am - 2:30pm.

Preferred Qualifications

• One year experience working in supply chain, manufacturing and/or SAP or related ERP planning system is a plus.

*Salary range $62,400-$78,000 per year.

The compensation range reflects the Company's reasonable expectation at the time of posting. We consider a number of business-related factors when making individual compensation decisions including, but not limited to, education, experience and training.
