THE JOB: The primary responsibility of the Poker Cashier is to manage monetary transactions and exchanges with both guests and staff in the Poker cage area. You will play a vital role in our mission to own the guest's experience and create WOW memories that they will carry with them far beyond their stay with us. THE STARTING PAY RATE: $18.00 / Per Hour THE DAY-TO-DAY:
- Process chip redemptions and sales for patrons, Poker runners, and Floor personnel
- Adapt to the fast-paced gaming environment by exercising good judgment and multitasking effectively
- Secure and document all transactions involving company assets accurately
- Complete electronic transaction logs meticulously and manually when required
- Reconcile the bank at the end of each shift
- Provide general information and assistance to patrons as needed
- Manage the issuance and return of poker safety deposit boxes, granting access to patrons
- Establish new patron accounts in accordance with Title 31 guidelines
- Handle buy-ins and re-buys for patrons in poker tournaments, and assist Poker room supervision with tracking and reporting participation totals
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- One (1) year of previous cash handling experience
- One (1) year of previous customer service experience
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Nevada State Gaming Registration
- High school diploma, GED or educational equivalent
- Must be able to work various shifts, including weekends and all holidays
- Proficiency in fundamental mathematical skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and money handling
- Ability to balance a bank without assistance (locating errors when out of balance)
- Knowledgeable of 10-key adding machine and currency counter
- Basic knowledge of computer software including Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as office equipment, i.e. telephone, copier, fax machine
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and can multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all stakeholders
- Capable of standing and walking for a majority of the shift
- Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms
