ROLE SUMMARY:
We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated VP, SOX Transformation who will lead the transformation team, in evaluating all internal company controls, lead efforts in creating and implementing stronger, compliant controls for best in class financial reporting.


WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Manage Finance Transformation team of 3-4 individuals by applying a comprehensive understanding of SOX requirements to

    • Improve underlying processes, starting with inventory
    • Validate controls and address any existing control deficiencies, with a goal of having clean execution on SOX for 2025,
    • Driving SOX mindset across the organization


  • Build and staff up team of 3-4 individuals with deep expertise in SOX and process transformation.
  • Review existing process maps, and map / redesign key processes as needed. Build SOX compliant control design and documentation
  • Appropriately assess risk for when financial process decisions are made, demonstrating accountability to SOX compliance, applying sound ethical judgment regarding business practices, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency
  • Closely partner with the IT team to drive controlled system rollouts and develops a plan for ERP implementation
  • SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
  • Deep partnership with the Controllership team in implementation of process changes and ensuring process stability. Collaborate with internal and external auditors to complete testing of the SOX program


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:


  • CPA or MBA
  • 20+ years of financial leadership experience in SOX controls, auditor, governance, or equivalent


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:



  • *Ability to improve processes, lean six sigma certified

  • *Experience and demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a complex and dynamic environment

  • Recognized technical authority for an area within the business.
  • Prior Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) experience
