CAD Drafting Intern- Architectural

Job Summary: This role provides support for the CAD team. This is a paid internship designed to provide on-the-job experience for those interested in gaining knowledge in their career field. The intern will work under the guidance of the Department leader, or other team members and will be assigned specific responsibilities within the department throughout the internship. Requires a "report-out" presentation to co-workers at the end of internship.

Experience/Education Requirements:

• Completion of a CAD / Drafter degree OR a currently enrolled in a CAD program entering their final year.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office Suite, Blue Beam software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Well-developed organizational and project management skills
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills to effectively represent the company in an ethical and professional manner and consistent with our values and mission.
• Valid Driver's license and ability to travel to jobsites if needed.

• Prepare Shop Drawings for Architectural Projects consisting of Roofing, Architectural Metal and other project work.
• Work Closely with Project Managers and Estimators during pre-construction and construction phases, detailing and updating plans and pulling together submittal documents as needed.
• Exhibit technical aptitude and advanced computer skills. Skills should include but not be limited to MS Office (excel, word, power point), Adobe Writer, Blue Beam.
• Actively participate in programs, policies and initiatives designed to enhance the overall good of the company and corporation.
