PACS Technician - Installer

**Per our government client US Citizenship is required

The Electronic Security System (ESS) Technician / Installer is responsible for installing, repairing, and configuring electronic security systems while adhering to safety standards and manufacturer's specifications. They also perform testing, integrate system components, and complete documentation for verification and testing. They must be available on-site during working hours and be willing to travel to various locations across the continental United States, including Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico.

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Electronic Security System (ESS) Technician / Installer: $70,000 - $80,000

Pay commensurate with experience.

Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

Electronic Security System (ESS) Technician / Installer Responsibilities Include:

  • Under direct supervision, complete assigned tasks including access control conduit installation, cable wire pulling, panel mounting, field device installation, troubleshooting, and system testing.
  • Ensure newly installed or upgraded systems are consistent and compliant with engineered drawings, design guidance, and manufacturer's specifications.
  • Adhere to all safety standards and requirements set by OSHA.
  • Complete assembly, fabrication, installation/termination of raceway, cabling, enclosure, ACS panels, door hardware, integration, and test systems and components using established standards.
  • Support the completion of daily site reports and system verification and testing documentation throughout the project.
  • Be available on-site during working hours, with varied schedules.
  • Travel to various locations across the continental United States, including Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico, as needed.
  • Maintain Identiv factory certification, either through new certification or renewal within the last 18 months.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Electronic Security System (ESS) Technician / Installer -Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

Education and Certifications

  • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree.
  • Ability to obtain:
    • Successful completion of GSA-mandated federal PACS Vendor certification testing (CSEIP) by the Smart Card Alliance.
  • Preferred Certifications:
    • OEM Certification for Hirsch/Identiv.
    • Minimum 10-hour OSHA Certification.
    • Lenel, Bosch, Pelco, Milestone, or Avigilon.

Experience

  • Minimum of two years of relevant technical experience in implementing security, fire alarm, life safety, or other electronic building systems.

Technical Skills

  • Ability to read, notate, and markup electrical and communication schematics and diagrams.
  • Proficiency in wiring and configuring low-voltage systems.
  • Working knowledge of:
    • HSPD-12
    • FIPS 201-2
    • NIST publication 800-16-3
  • Computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Office Suite and the ability to learn specialized software programs.

Physical Requirements

  • Physical ability to:
    • Work in narrow spaces.
    • Climb ladders and stairs.
    • Lift 50+ lbs. without assistance.
  • Correctable 20/20 vision (with glasses or contacts) and no colorblindness.

Other Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Ability to pass extensive background checks, including criminal, drug, and credit screenings.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
  • Excellent oral, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 90% of the time.
