Position Description:


  • The Plant Vehicle Team (PVT) Engineer position is part of Model e Connected Vehicle organization located within OEM Chicago Assembly Plant (CAP) PVT Engineers are the first line of defense regarding functional system quality for the products built at CAP.
  • Responsible for VFG V29 - check engine light both software and hardware for powertrain components and modules.
  • The PVT Engineer is responsible to deliver vehicle line and functional quality objectives and handling ongoing product development issues.
  • Reviewing daily warranty claims from our dealer network is key to understanding which issues need to be prioritized for containment actions.
  • Other activities include reviewing connected vehicle data to identify trends, details, and data to support external concerns


Skills Required:


  • Strong problem solving and decision making.
  • Good communication skills both orally and written.
  • Ability to manage multiple requests


Experience Required:


  • 3+ years experience in product development / Quality


Education Required:


  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical/Software Engineering or closely related field
