Real Property Manager BB&E is a full service civil and environmental engineering and consulting firm, headquartered in Northville, Michigan, which services both the Federal and Industrial sectors throughout the United States. BB&E team members provide Environmental Consulting, Facilities Engineering and Program/Project Management Services to Federal and private sectors.
Position Summary
BB&E is currently looking for a Real Property Manager to support the 9AF (AFCENT)/A4 Installations Directorate mission in the United States Central Command (USCENTCOM) area of responsibility (AOR) and Shaw Air Force Base (AFB).. This is a full-time onsite position at Shaw AFB, SC.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage real property; capture, manage, and track real property data associated with new construction, demolition, repair, and upgrades of installation-built infrastructure, as well as provides facility capitalization information using programs such as Sustainment Management System (SMS) BUILDER and TRIRIGA project management database
- Ensure all facilities are entered into TRIRIGA database in order for AFCENT to gain sustainment dollars for existing facilities
- Ensure real property managers at installations are kept abreast of program-level requirements and are responding in a timely manner to AFCEC-identified shortfalls
- Respond to requests for advice/assistance from AFCENT installations involving a wide variety of unusually complex real estate assessment management issues sometimes requiring coordination with the host nation and develops solutions to problems
- Advise and assist frequently, become a command policy expert for implementation, and support subordinate units of the command
- Evaluate the effectiveness of the assigned real estate and asset management program(s) in meeting legal and regulatory requirements
Initiate and monitor real property surveys and conduct staff visits to installations within the AFCENT Area of Responsibility (AOR) to review administrative management and operation of installation real estate activities. Installations include the following:
- AASAB - Ali Al Salem Air Base, Kuwait
- ADAB - Al Dhafra Air Base, United Arab Emirates
- AUAB - Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar
- PSAB - Prince Sultan Air Base, Saudi Arabia
- MSAB - Muwaffaq Salti Air Base, Jordan
- AJAB - Ahmed Al-Jaber Air Base, Kuwait
- TRAB - Thumrait Air Base, Oman
- Ensure that appropriate action is taken to correct inadequacies and develops recommendations to improve the efficiency of installation level real estate management and utilization procedures
- Assist with space utilization analysis (as requested) using both TRIRIGA and geospatial data to make associated recommendations
Key Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Government Security Clearance (NACI) is required.
- Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
- Availability/Ability to travel to the AFCENT AOR installations listed above.
- Software: Experience and working knowledge of the following within the last 3 years: MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), TRIRIGA, SMS BUILDER, NEX GEN IT, and/or USAF-specific project management software is required; experience with SIPR Access.
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong briefing skills and the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
- Self-Starter: Highly motivated and capable of effectively operating as a member of an engineering or joint discipline team with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines autonomously
Experience & Education
- Experience
- Five (5) years minimum working with DoD-related Real Property Management.
- Working knowledge of facility engineering concepts and Air Force or DoD space use standards and programs, as well as standard DoD Real Estate reports.
- Air Force Specialty Code (AFSC) 1N1X1, Army MOS 35G, or comparable Navy intelligence specialist with imagery experience is highly desirable
- Education: Minimum of a High School Diploma is required
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand/walk/climb/kneel/crouch and remain in a stationary position/sit at least 60% of the time
- Ability to operate office equipment, including computer, copy machine, phone, etc.
- Ability to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms
- Capable of lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to see details of objects that are less than a few feet away
- Ability to understand the speech of another person, speak clearly so listeners can understand, and talk or hear both in person and by telephone
