Contribute to the Architecture initiatives across the enterprise. Responsible for improving and communicating the architectural capabilities and processes for business and technology convergence. Effectively contribute to technology selection and deployment process for most strategic business and technology outcomes.

Provide assistance to one or more of the following enterprise architecture domains to support the delivery of the strategic initiatives. e.g. Business Architecture, Application Architecture, Information Architecture, Infrastructure/Technical Architecture, Integration Architecture, Security Architecture and Solutions Architecture

Contribute to the development and maintenance of the enterprise Capability Maps and Value Streams to enable future state architectural decisions and directions

Assist with Capability based planning, Impact/Gap Analysis, Benefit and Cost Analysis to enable the target state architecture directions

Contribute to the development of enterprise architecture roadmaps to drive key strategic business and GTS initiatives

Contribute to the development of Architecture frameworks in alignment with GTS strategy

Assist in the development of platform architectures related to enterprise platforms and reference architectures for Cloud and Integration domains

Participate and maintain the definition of technical standards and guidelines that pertain to data and information use, security, access and governance

Facilitate architectural guidance and advice to ensure all aspects of development process meet architectural governance and guidelines, and are adaptable to future technology

Be technical expert; provides guidance for complex and advanced technology content to fulfill alignment between business and technology strategy, and to provide optimal technology functioning for the business

Perform analysis for technical planning, and technology formation to align with the needs and strategy of the business, creating comprehensive technology formulation across GTS, including but not limited to cost - benefit analysis, technical components research and comparison

Leads design and deployment of projects; leads other Information Technology teams to ensure builds are done in a timely manner and comply to IT standards

Promote technology reuse and innovation throughout the enterprise for best technology fit, technological interoperability, and support of budget

Maintain currency of deep technology knowledge; introduce applicable technology in alignment with goals and for creative solutions.

Job Specifications

Typically has the following skills or abilities:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, systems analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience

Minimum of 6 years of experience with relevant analysis, design and architecture experience across the Enterprise Architecture domains

General understanding of Enterprise Architecture Frameworks like TOGAF

Strong understanding with various architectures, methodologies and operations. e.g. Applications, SOA, API-Centric, Data, Security, Infrastructure, Network, Compute, Cloud, Automation, DevOps

Excellent technological vision and business process knowledge

Read and write current programming languages; excellent knowledge of current development and production cycles/processes

Excellent knowledge of software and systems design patterns and understanding of how and when to apply them

Excellent planning and facilitation skills

Ability to effectively adapt to rapidly changing technology and apply it to business needs

Experience leading technology projects; demonstrated ability to collaborate, direct, mentor and train others to optimal outcomes

Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to influence and communicate complex issues using simple concepts adjusted to audience and their skills

Excellent analytical and conceptual design skills; strong problem-solving skills; excellent creative thinking, developing skills and takes initiative

Ability to regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of his/her job duties

Compensation range for the role is listed below. Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. As a part of the compensation package, this role may include eligible bonuses and commissions. For more information regarding VSP Vision benefits, pleaseclick here.

Salary Ranges: $80,000.00 - $135,000.00
