Job Description

Pay Range: Starting at $19.50 per hour

Role:

The primary function of this position is to assist Gulf Winds in achieving its strategic goals for sales through quick member follow up. This position actively solicits and establishes new relationships, then effectively and smoothly transitions the relationship to a Financial Service Representative (FSR) for loan completion and continued follow up.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

Proactively initiates relationships by quickly reaching out to members through various channels. Builds trust and makes recommendations by actively listening and identifying member needs. Builds and completes quality loan applications before seamlessly transitioning the member to a loan officer.

Maintains a foundation of knowledge regarding credit reports and member's next steps while effectively communicating with members.

Builds loan applications by establishing motives and pursuing information, while also maintaining trust with members.

Places outbound calls to online applications requiring further information.

Opens and closes deposit and loan accounts, answers questions about products and services, resolves all issues with respect to accounts, products and services. Escalates or transfers resolution of issues to supervisor or appropriate department when necessary.

Fulfills member service-related requests. Acts as liaison between members and other departments.

Maintains member account information in all systems.

Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Performance Measurements:

Provides informed, prompt accurate service and support to all members and team members; meets or exceeds any department and personal goals.

Carries out assigned duties and responsibilities with minimal errors.

Looks for opportunities in conversation to refer members to peers.

Complies with all applicable rules, regulations procedures and policies, including but not limited to BSA, OFAC and Physical Security

Knowledge and Skills:

Experience: One to three years of similar or related experience.

Education: High school education or GED.

Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build relationships via phone and internet.

Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation.

Other Skills: Able to operate a 10-key calculator, excellent PC skills, proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office programs.

Must be bondable.

Applicable licenses required to sell Loan Payment Protection products.

Sales Experience and/or demonstrated sales ability.

High level multitasking.

Clear, concise communication skills.

Ability to read, write, comprehend, and speak English clearly.

Normally expected to work an 8-hour shift between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. but may be required to work nights and/or weekends.

Must adhere to safety rules and regulations.

Physical Requirements: This position involves sitting for extended periods of time with a headset on, while monitoring information on two computer screens.
