ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Inspect and troubleshoot various equipment and systems
  • Install necessary appliances and equipment as needed
  • Perform minor manual repairs such as repairing broken locks, damage to walls, replacing windows, etc.
  • Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards
  • Collaborate with other employees and professionals during renovations and facility expansions
  • Complete regular maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, air filters, etc.
  • Test the functionality of the facility's safety systems (alarm systems) and schedule repairs when needed
  • Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality
  • Participate in budget preparation and ensure it is followed throughout the year
  • Assist in snow cleanup and salting/sanding in the winter months in order to keep employees and guests safe
  • Wear proper PPE for job function being performed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
  • Ability to read and utilize technical manuals and drawings
  • Intermediate knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices
  • Intermediate knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
  • Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulics, and other systems

EDUCATION & PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 3-5 years of prior experience as a maintenance technician required
  • Prior experience in maintenance at a manufacturing company preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to use hands and fingers to operate computers, equipment, hand/power tools, etc. and handle and feel parts of various size
  • Ability to bend, kneel, and crouch occasionally throughout a shift
  • Ability to push, pull, or lift up to 50lb moderately throughout a workday, occasionally 50+ lb. with a team lift
  • Ability to focus vision for: close vision, depth perception, and adjusting to sharp focus
  • Noise conditions can be moderate to extreme. Hearing protection will be provided if needed and/or by request
  • Exposure to fumes and/or airborne particles
  • Moving mechanical parts and vibration
  • Exposure to hot metal and machining components
  • Exposure to various types of coolants and oils
  • Manufacturing environment where temperatures drastically change from season to season
  • Fast-paced environment

WORK HOURS/TRAVEL
  • 1st shift work schedule: 5 - 8-hour shifts
  • Overtime and weekend work as necessary
  • Flexible scheduling in agreement with supervisor
  • Travel: N/A
