JOB TITLE: Research Assistant JOB PURPOSE: Provide technical and logistical support to multiple research programs at the Sheridan Research and Extension Center and the Institute for Managing Annual Grasses Invading Natural Ecosystems. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist with field, greenhouse, and laboratory data collection across a wide range of research and outreach projects not limited to rangeland restoration, invasive weed management, wildlife habitat improvement, and forage agronomy. Additional, but minor, duties consist of day-to-day maintenance of research farm grounds and fields. COMPETENCIES: Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to comprehend and follow detailed instructions Willingness to learn and apply what has been learned Comfortable working in outdoor environments REMOTE WORK ELIGIBILITY: This position provides vital support to SHREC customers and requires the successful candidate be available to work at the Sheridan Research and Extension Center in Sheridan, WY. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) compliant with the University Vehicle Use Policy .
