Careers Construction Inspector Oklahoma City Metro, Oklahoma Garver has an opening based out of our Oklahoma City, OK office for a Construction Inspector.The Construction Inspectorassists and acts as a liaison between, contractors, engineers, and clients and will include the inspection and observation of water/wastewater, aviation, roadway, and bridge projects. This position will work under the supervision of the Resident Engineer, Project Engineer, or Project Manager assigned to a specific project. This position will assist as needed with inspections and documentation to ensure that the project is built in accordance with project plans and specifications. Responsibilities: Interpret and understand project plans and specifications while verifying compliance Travel is required and expected, applicants must be willing to accept long-term and short-term out of town projects. Reading and interpreting data, information, and documents Analyzing and solving problems Performing highly detailed work on multiple, concurrent tasks Work under intense deadlines Interact with staff, contractors, and the public Qualifications: 3+ years of experience High school diploma or equivalent Strong ability to prioritize and organize Excellent verbal and written skills Strong working knowledge of Excel and Word Working knowledge of ODOT and OTA specifications Preferred: Familiar with grading, drainage, concrete/asphalt paving, roadway bridge construction, OHCMT Materials Sampling and Testing certification SiteManager application experience Pipeline inspection experience Survey or materials testing experience Grow With Us Garver offers its employees programs such as company-paid professional memberships, company support for industry licenses and continuing education opportunities that foster a progressive atmosphere.
