Summary

Are you passionate about quality and ready to take on a pivotal role in our organization? We are seeking a talented and experienced Test Lead to join an engineering team that cares about quality. In this critical position, you will oversee end-to-end testing efforts, rigorously assess the current quality landscape, and guide our team towards standardized best practices. Your leadership and expertise will ensure our testing methodologies are robust and consistent, significantly contributing to the delivery of outstanding products that our customers will love and trust.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
  • End-to-End Testing Management:
    • Help manage end-to-end test planning and execution for large, cross-functional projects

    • Develop, document, and maintain large, end-to-end test plans.

  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with existing testers to understand the current state of testing.

    • Collaborate with engineering managers to align testing processes with development goals.

    • Act as a bridge between testers and development teams to ensure seamless integration of testing activities.

  • Coaching and Development:
    • Provide guidance and coaching to testers to enhance their skills and understanding of testing standards.

    • Ensure compliance with the organization's testing standards and best practices.

  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Continuously assess and improve testing processes and methodologies.

    • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies in software testing.

Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Test Lead or similar role in software testing.

  • Experience in managing end-to-end testing processes.

  • Strong understanding of testing methodologies and tools.

  • Proficiency in test management software and bug tracking systems.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

  • ISTQB Certification or equivalent.

  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

  • Experience in automating tests and using continuous integration tools.

Compensation Range:

Pay Range - Start:

$100,030.00

Pay Range - End:

$185,770.00

Northwestern Mutual pays on a geographic-specific salary structure and placement in the salary range for this position will be determined by a number of factors including the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; the scope, complexity as well as the cost of labor in the market; and other conditions of employment. At Northwestern Mutual, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. Please note that the salary range listed in the posting is the standard pay structure. Positions in certain locations (such as California) may provide an increase on the standard pay structure based on the location.
