ILS Logistician
Purpose:
- Valkyrie Enterprises has an immediate need for an ILS Logistician in Virginia Beach, VA.
- Join our team to support Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and Configuration Management (CM) for LCS ships. Collaborate with engineering and logistics teams to define system configurations, develop logistics planning documents, and evaluate program documentation for logistics impacts.
- Assist in developing and maintaining logistics databases and participate in integrated product teams dedicated to logistics and CM products.
Job Description:
- Help Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPS), technical manuals, and other TDPs.
- Evaluate logistics and supportability requirements for engineering and design changes, ensuring compliance with program milestones and fleet schedules.
- Contribute to ship availability planning of software and hardware installs.
- Track and manage change documents, material procurements, license renewals, and software versions/updates.
- Review schedules and milestones to assess workload and resource strategies and identify and mitigate risks.
Qualifications
- Must have experience working with Microsoft Office Suite (I.e., Project and Excel)
- Must have experience working with SSDS or Shipboard systems.
- Must have 3 plus years of ILS experience.
Desired Requirements
- Experience in Technical Writing for Naval Systems, preferred.
- Experience with utilizing Navy Data Environment (NDE) with various modules, preferred.
Security Requirements:
- Must have an Active DoD Secret Security clearance, and the ability to maintain clearance.
- Must maintain clearance eligibility to access military facilities, naval shipyards, and private shipyards.
Travel Requirements:
- Less than 10%
- If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID. Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to work in an office, industrial, or shipboard environment.
- Be able to lift and move materials not to exceed the guidelines set for one-man lift.
- Must be able to perform site surveys and carry a laptop computer.
