This is a role within Chamberlain Group's Experience Design group. A successful incumbent is expected to (i) Work across Chamberlain Group's smart access ecosystem of products and directly on our myQ platform that engages millions of users daily, and (ii) Sit within the newly created Experience Design team consisting of Product Designers, Industrial Designers and Researchers and support design activities that will drive incredible experiences. Requires Minimum of two (2) years of job-related experience with a Bachelor's degree strongly preferred; or minimum of three (3) years of job-related experience without a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Design, Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field plus 1-2 years of experience in User Experience, UI Design, or related field.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work across Chamberlain Group's smart access ecosystem of products and directly on our myQ

  • platform that engages millions of users daily

  • Sit within the newly created Experience Design team consisting of Product Designers, Industrial

  • Designers and Researchers and support design activities that will drive incredible experiences

  • Support cross-functional teams with continuous product discovery and delivery, as well as multiple

  • UI/UX design activities including research, iterative prototyping, and design documentation.

  • Focus on advancing the myQ user experience across mobile, web, and automotive platforms

  • considering both renovation (90%) and innovation (10%) opportunities

  • Leverage customer insights, user-data, analytics and OKRs to support user experience design efforts

  • Support the human-centered design process and participate in user research activities

  • Work with product owners and research team to support concept-testing with target users to ensure

  • successful research outcomes

  • Engage in user-story development to help communicate actionable design insights to the product teams

  • Gain hands-on design experience and mentorship from the design team and product organization

  • Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance acrosstheir teams.

  • Protect Chamberlain Group's reputation by keeping information confidential.

  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading

  • professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.

  • Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

Education/Certifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Design, Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field plus 1-2 years of experience in User Experience, UI Design, or related field

  • Comparable job-related experience in lieu of degree

Experience:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of job-related experience with a Bachelor's degree strongly preferred; or minimum of three (3) years of job-related experience without a Bachelor's degree

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficiency with basic design and presentation tools (Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, presentation- building software)

  • Portfolio of work that showcases design process, thinking and UI design

Other:

Ability to travel up to 10% - Internationally and Domestically

Preferred Qualifications

Education/Certifications:

Experience:

  • Experience with web or mobile coding, software development best practices; experience with JIRA and Confluence

  • Experience supporting user research and usability testing

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills

  • Proficiency with industry-standard design, documentation, collaboration, and presentation tools (Figma,

  • Adobe Creative Suite, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Jira, Confluence, Teams, Slack)

  • Illustration, motion and animation

  • UX writing

The payrange for this position is $61,000 - $115,075; base payoffered may vary depending on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. In addition to base pay, also offered is a comprehensive benefits package and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).This position is eligible for participation in a short-term incentive plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies.
