Position Summary

The Director of the Todd Cancer Institute (TCI) in collaboration with the Executive Director, MCI is responsible for strategic planning, marketing, business development, implementation and evaluation of all Cancer related programs and accreditations, educationandpatientcareprograms,includingoperationalandfiscaloversightoftheseprograms.TheDirectorisalso responsiblefortheintegrationoftheAdultCancerProgramswiththestrategicplanfortheTCI,LBMMCandMHS.The Directoris theprincipalambassadorforcancercareatLBMMCandarticulatestheTCIvisiontoprofessionals,localbusinesses andthecommunityincludinghealthcareproviders,prospectivepatients,thirdpartypayors,businessinterests,government agencies, and public officials.The Director directs the community outreach activities of the cancer programs which include educationalandfundraisingeventswhicharelargelycoordinatedbyvolunteers.TheDirectorcoordinatestheactivitiesofthe TCI Advisory Board.

Essential Function

* Develops and maintains linkages with physicians associated with the Todd Cancer Institute.

* Identifies potential physician alignment opportunities.

* Collaborates with physicians, the Todd Cancer Advisory Board, and other stakeholders to create/connect strategic vision for Todd Cancer Institute.

* Implements the Todd Cancer Institute strategic vision in collaboration with MCI strategic vision and LBMC strategic vision.

* Works with the Todd Cancer Institute physicians to ensure that best practices are adopted to benefit patients.

* Supports implementation of new programs and services.

* Ensures quality improvement projects meet stated objectives.

* Responsible for annual operating and capital budgets of departments.

* Ensures that departments meet budget targets.

* Collaborates with Todd Cancer Institute leaders and Executive Director, MCI to implement and maintain systems to fulfill accreditation requirements.

* Provides direct supervision to Todd Cancer Institute managers.

* Communicates effectively to physicians, staff, and Advisory Board.

* Performs other duties as assigned.

*Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. Qualifications - External

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications/Work Experience:

* 5 Minimum 7 years' oncology experience preferred.

* Minimum 5 years' progressive management experience in a hospital or outpatient setting preferred.

Education/Licensure/Certification:

* Master's degree in health care/science related field, nursing, or business administration preferred.
