Responsibilities
The Construction Project Manager - Intermediate manages the necessary resources for coordinated implementation of several concurrent Norton Healthcare capital construction projects with budgets up to $20M. The Construction Project Manager - Intermediate assembles internal and external teams to develop and coordinate various project components including scope definition, design, estimating, bidding, cost accounting, regulatory compliance, infection prevention, scheduling and other activities required for the timely completion of assigned projects within budget. The Construction Project Manager - Intermediate demonstrates knowledge of industry standard bid practices, construction payment methods and scheduling. The Construction Project Manager - Intermediate supports other departmental activities as assigned. Key Responsibilities:
- Monitors assigned capital construction projects to ensure compliance with Norton Healthcare policies, procedures and guidelines and with all applicable local, state and federal regulations or the guidelines of other entities having jurisdiction. Inspects final construction projects for compliance with all requirements. Ensures proper receipt of contracted services. Verifies regulatory inspection and approval, including issuance of final occupancy and operation permits in a timely manner.
- Prepares and maintains construction contracts and other agreements with external contractors / vendors / consultants and ensures adherence to contract provisions. Manages and controls required project documentation using department reporting software.
- Maintains strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including participation in project and planning department meetings, and with external resources including architectural design firms, engineering consultants, and general contractors.
- Manages several concurrent, small to medium-sized capital construction projects. Coordinates the activities and efforts of internal resources and external consultants, contractors and vendors to complete assigned capital construction projects on time, within budget, and according to the approved scope of work. Assembles and manages qualified teams of internal and external resources to accomplish defined project goals and objectives and ensures accurate, quality, timely delivery of products and services. Provides regular budget, schedule, and progress updates to leadership and other project stakeholders utilizing departmental reporting software systems and methods.
Qualifications
Required:
- Three years in construction project management or healthcare-related project management
