SPA's Air Force and Army Programs Group provides aviation-focused analysis and program management for life-cycle systems engineering and logistics support, rapid capabilities development and fielding, cyber warfare operations, nuclear C3, and integrated air and missile defense planning. We provide advanced studies, wargame development, and analysis to support materiel operations, supply strategies, and fleet readiness.

SPA has an immediate need for an Acquisition Logistician onsite in Huntsville, AL. #MC



Responsibilities

The Logistics Analyst is a critical role in the Command, Control, Effects (C2E) Product Office within the Project Manager Uncrewed Aircraft Systems Office. This position requires a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of Acquisition Logistics and the application in a complex military acquisition environment. The analyst will play a proactive role developing and implementing strategies throughout the lifecycle of C2E programs and provide support to the Product Support Manager (PSM).

Duties/Responsibilities: 1) Write, manage, and staff acquisition logistics documentation, 2) Coordinate the C2E documentation Integrated Product Team (IPT), develop schedules, track progress, keep meeting minutes/notes, and adjudicate comments between internal and external stakeholders, 3) Develop a comprehensive weapon system Product Support Strategy (PSS). The PSS addresses product support management, design interface, sustaining engineering, supply support, maintenance planning, and management, packaging, handling, storage and transportation, technical data, support equipment, training and training support, manpower and personnel, facilities and infrastructure, and computer resources, 4) Demonstrate familiarity with MIL-HDBK-502A Product Support Analysis, GEIA-HB-0007B Logistics Product Data Handbook, SAE-GEIA-STD-0007C Logistics Product Data, SAE-TA-HB-0007-1 Logistics Product Data Summaries Handbook, TSTD-017A Product Support Analysis, 5) Knowledge of Level of Repair Analysis, Failure Modes and Effects Criticality Analysis, Basis of Issues Plan, Type Classification, and Materiel Release, Technical Publications, Statement of Work, Performance Work Statements, Statement of Objectives, Contract Deliverable Line Item, 6) Review new or updated acquisition documentation, such as Life Cycle Sustainment Plans (LCSP) and associated annexes, Acquisition Strategies (AS), and Systems Engineering Plans (SEP) to support alignment with the LCSP and acquisition milestone reviews, 7) Reviews contractor proposals leveraging technical and logistics experience to identify potential product support impacts. Recognize issues, propose, or jointly develop corrective actions, and keep the PSM informed, and 8) Provide briefings, presentations, and written reports to leadership, management, and peers.



Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

    BA/BS Degree preferred with 8 years logistics experience; 12 years logistics experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree
  • At least 5 years of acquisition experience in a US Army Project Office
  • Experience developing, reviewing, staffing, modifying and/or providing input into acquisition documentation, especially Life Cycle Sustainment Plans (LSCP) and appendices for ACAT II or III programs
  • Participation in technical Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings or coordinating with engineers and technical staff
  • Experience with tracing logistics documents requirements to the DoDI 5000.1 and DoDI 5000.2, DoDI 5000.2, DoDI 5000.85, DoDI 5000.91, AR 700-127, and DA PAM 700-127
  • Proficient with MS Office suite or tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • DoD Secret clearance is required to start, and it must be maintained throughout employment

Travel:

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. issued passport
  • Travel is expected up to 25%
