The CNAS Dean's Office is seeking candidates to train in UCR systems relating to research administration and gain familiarity with policies and procedures. In addition to training, the incumbent may provide support to academic departments within the college in support of Contracts and Grants, Travel, and Purchasing functions. This is a limited position that will last approximately six months or up to 1000 hours. Upon completion of the limited position, incumbents will be encouraged to apply for career Contracts and Grants positions within the college as they become available.

The ideal candidate will be an entry-level professional with limited prior experience, customer service focused, analytically-minded, and an ambitious learner. Incumbents will learn to use professional concepts to resolve problems of limited scope and complexity, and work on assignments that are initially routine in nature, requiring limited judgment and decision making. Employees at this level are expected to acquire the skills and knowledge to perform more advanced work following an agreed upon time in position, through defined training and development planning.

Applicants should be prepared to submit a cover letter along with their application. Candidates selected for interview will be asked to complete a skills assessment that will include Microsoft Office Suite products and reading comprehension.

The full salary range for the Contracts and Grants Analyst is $27.29 - $39.90 per hour. However, the expected pay scale for this position is $27.29 per hour. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.

Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.
