Accounting Specialist - ERP Project Support
Location: Torrance, CA (Hybrid)
Job Type: Temporary (Long-Term to Hire)
Job Overview
A fast-growing restaurant corporation is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Specialist to join their dynamic team. As the company embarks on a significant ERP implementation project, your role will be to provide essential accounting support and liaise between the external consulting firm and internal departments. Your responsibilities will include data provision, process analysis, and general accounting tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
ERP Project Support:

  • Assist in implementation, configuration, and data migration to the new ERP.
  • Provide accurate and timely financial data to the external consulting firm.
  • Assist in analyzing current accounting processes and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with IT and finance teams to ensure smooth data migration and system integration.

Accounting Operations:

  • Perform day-to-day accounting tasks, such as journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and analysis.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and reduce manual tasks.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new accounting procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Previous accounting experience in a multi-unit retail environment, preferably in the restaurant industry
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Restaurant365, SAP, NetSuite) and POS systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Quick learner with the ability to adapt to changing priorities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with data migration and system conversions
  • Knowledge of financial reporting and analysis tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
  • IT savvy and comfortable with learning new software and systems

The base pay range above represents the low and high end of the base compensation range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Actual base compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, actual experience, and job performance.
