RN Ambulatory/PACU

Full Time - 0.8 FTE

Shift :

  • 4, 8-hour shifts
  • Call at least 1x/month

*The unit operates Monday - Friday with no weekends, call, or holidays!*

Responsibilities
  • Pre- and Post-Operative Care
    Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the ambulatory or post-anesthesia care unit, including monitoring vital signs, assessing pain levels, managing IVs, and ensuring safe recovery from anesthesia.
  • Patient Education and Discharge Planning
    Educate patients and their families on post-procedure care, including wound care, medication instructions, and follow-up requirements, ensuring a smooth transition to home or the next level of care.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration
    Work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare team members to ensure seamless coordination of patient care and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Diploma from an RN program.

License(s)/Certification(s):

  • Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in primary state.
    • Must apply within 90 days for licensure in secondary state.
  • Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Must possess and maintain ACLS
