Responsibilities

New opportunity for a Finance Director to lead and drive improvement in FP&A processes and reporting while also providing strong business partnership for the Bruker NANO Surfaces and Metrology (BNSM) Division. You will be the dedicated Finance Business Partner for multiple Business Unit General Managers and functional leaders, manage and develop a team of FP&A and accounting professionals, and closely support the VP of Finance with decision support and reporting requirements. Through strong collaboration with all business functions, you will identify opportunities to create value and drive various improvement efforts.     Be a trusted finance partner to BU General Managers and functional leaders, providing strong financial insight, reporting, analysis and guidance
  • Support the BNSM VP of Finance with reporting materials coordination, preparation and submission
  • Partner with divisional/functional/BU level leadership during the annual strategic planning and budget processes and assist with consolidating division data
  • Identify areas for operational and financial process enhancement and drive for continuous improvement
  • Strengthen core FP&A process around budgeting, forecasting, reporting and analysis
  • Manage and develop finance team, work with finance VP to build a strong and nimble finance organization.
  • Meet all monthly financial reporting deadlines and submit accurate results to financial management
  • Provide required data for monthly forecast calls including updated P&L forecast, updated bookings and revenue forecasts; provide monthly updates of the spending forecast.
  • Collaborate with general accounting to validate actuals and understand variance drivers
  • Provide finance support on merger and acquisition projects and other important initiatives
  • Deliver a timely response for ad hoc financial analyses as required, including gross margin analysis of pricing, product cost and mix
  • Perform other duties and projects as required.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Finance or Accounting required. Master Degree preferred.
  • Minimum 12 years hands on finance work experience in a manufacturing and R&D environment that is highly matrixed and composed of multiple entities.
  • Verifiable success leading teams of FP&A or Accounting professionals across global/ international locations.
  • Proven Controller expertise with advanced working knowledge of US GAAP, financial statements (P&L, BS, CF), and SOX controls.
  • Strong recent working involvement with general accounting and standard cost accounting.
  • Advanced MS Office with Excel, PowerPoint expertise, current working knowledge of SAP and BPC required
  • Advanced business acumen and judgment with outstanding business analysis and financial modeling skills
  • Maintains current working knowledge of company markets, products, and industry trends.
  • Actively learns business group needs; supports their requirements; and delivers timely, practical results.
  • Proven ability to think strategically about business issues and provide a hands-on customer support approach.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication (written, verbal, quantitative) and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to gain commitment and coordinated action for initiatives.
  • Maintains effective working relationships across the company, at the divisional, functional, and corporate level.
  • Possesses leadership competencies, including finance expertise, collaboration, teamwork, influence, communication, drive for results, business insight, project management, process improvement, critical thinking analysis and talent development.
  • Capable of representing the division/ function in high-visibility settings.
  • Maintains effective external industry and professional network.
  • High-energy and constructive self-starter with strong leadership capabilities, and history of successful accomplishments.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, manage multiple deliverables, and work effectively across time zones with all levels of the organization to achieve results and meet deadlines.
  • Operates with a high standard of ethics, integrity, and professionalism.
  • Ability to satisfactorily complete position training requirements.
  • Reliable transportation and valid Driver License in good standing, issued by resident state required.
  • U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status required.
  • Maintain a valid passport with flexibility for domestic and international travel.
  • May be required to pass security clearance investigation.

At Bruker, base salary is part of our total compensation. The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is between $150,000 to $257,000. You will have the ability progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base salary for the role will depend on a several job-related factors, including, but not limited to education, training, experience, the geographic location of the successful candidate, skills, competencies, job-related knowledge and travel requirements for this position. Full-time employees may also be eligible for a performance-related incentive in addition to a full range of benefits including 401(k) with company match, an employee stock purchase plan, medical and dental plans, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, employee assistance program and paid time off including vacation, sick time and holidays, and more.
