Electronic Banking Specialist

Position Overview:

The Electronic Banking Specialist is responsible for providing exemplary service and various back-office processing of electronic banking functions that may include; but are not limited to, research requests, ACH transactions including returns and adjustments, remote deposit capture, debit card maintenance, Reg E disputes, online and mobile banking support and maintenance, fraud monitoring and core system maintenance. The Electronic Banking Specialist is also responsible for supporting Treasury Management, Platinum Services and other business lines of the institution.

Responsibilities:




* Problem solve online banking issues and debit card/ATM operational issues.

* Perform daily card maintenance, limit increases, travel restrictions.

* Perform daily mobile banking maintenance including increasing deposit limits, review and delete of deposits.

* Perform bill payment maintenance including adding/deleting accounts.



* Daily and monthly proof of DDA and GL accounts.

* Process returned debit card mail and maintain a log.

* Process Reg. E POS/ACH disputes ensuring NACHA compliance.



* Handle all aspects of incoming EIP-ACH item processing.

* Perform update and maintenance in compliance with the network and financial institution operating policies and regulations.

* Other job functions including but not limited to: returning invalid prenotes, compromised and expiring card reissue, annual ACH reviews, OFAC IAT review and review daily fraud alerts.



Qualifications:



  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelors degree or college coursework preferred.
  • ACH knowledge and/or certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of Real-Time Payments including Zelle and The Clearing House RTP Network
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of related electronic banking experience.
  • Working knowledge of regulations and procedures as they pertain to banking, electronic banking.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.

  • Contribute to the success of the department with willingness to cross train and share in the department responsibilities.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate over the phone, in person and via e-mail.
  • Proficient use and understanding of Jack Henry and MS office practices (Word, Excel, Outlook), with the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Perform other related electronic banking duties as assigned.
