Collection Manager - Senior (Collection Management Authority)

This position requires an active TS/Sensitive Compartmental Information (SCI) clearance to be considered.

Cherokee Analytics is seeking a qualified Collection Manager to provide collection management support to Space Force Space Operations Command.

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Collection Manager - Senior: $109,789

Pay commensurate with experience.

Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

Collection Manager - Senior Responsibilities Include:



  • Deliver consistent and continual intelligence and collection management support to intelligence requirement customers, collection operators, production analysts, and mission planners to execute mission activities.
  • Assists intelligence requirements managers with coordinated, collaborated, and deconflicted national level tasking from multiple sources and non-traditional cryptologic partners as required.
  • Updates and maintain current site collection capability matrix.
  • Provides intelligence collection and production support for operations planning and execution, capabilities assessments, and refinement.
  • Advises the Government on matters concerning collection policy, priorities, planning, resource allocation, new collection capabilities development, collection shortfalls, and evaluate or assess the program's performance to meet performance expectations.
  • Performs requirements review to ensure requirement currency and successful execution of mission resources.
  • Applies intelligence collection systems and capabilities to inform intelligence consumers of collection developments and relevancy through a range of products.
  • Collaborate across the IC to understand customer intelligence needs and gaps to optimize developing and validating collection requirements for the customer.
  • Evaluates the efficiency and effectiveness of multiINT collection against requirements; and the execution of collection plans and strategies to generate reliable and valid intelligence to customers.
  • Uses statistical, algorithmic, mining and visualization techniques to find and interpret ISR data sources.
  • Manages large amounts of data, ensures data consistency, produces visualizations and develops models to report findings.
  • Assists developing methods and criteria to evaluate whether collection requirements have been satisfied, using MOEs, MOPs, responses to collection plans and strategies, and others, and produces feedback of findings.
  • Identifies collection gaps, related trends and opportunities; assesses collection options, tests assumptions, and produces judgements, recommendations and solutions to refine collection.
  • Produces analyses identifying gaps in collections methods, and models future intelligence collection scenarios for Collection Strategists, Intelligence Planners, and Collection Enterprise Architects.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.


Collection Manager - Senior Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:



  • Active TS/SCI security clearance
  • Minimum of twelve years of experience performing duties and responsibilities related to the Collection Manager's responsibilities.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of the Collection Manager's activities required to meet mission requirements.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
  • Ability to communicate understanding from information that may be incomplete, indirect, highly complex, seemingly unrelated, and / or technically advanced.
  • Demonstrates ability to collaborate and work with other IC members on information sharing, driving collection, and addressing analytic disputes and conflict resolution.
  • Ability to develop concise, insightful, and comprehensive products for defense intelligence.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
  • Graduate of an in-residence DOD/IC collection management course.
  • Demonstrates proficiency conducting statistics and using statistical packages such as, but not limited to, MATLAB, SPSS, SAS, S-PLUS, or R.
