Position Summary The Assistant Director of Instructional Design and Academic Technology plays a pivotal role in leading and supporting UIC's educational technology ecosystem. This includes supporting the use of our learning management system (LMS) for UIC and all centrally managed learning applications and tools. The Assistant Director will utilize their learning design expertise to facilitate strategic planning and engage stakeholders in promoting, adopting, analyzing, and evaluating both current and emerging academic technologies that enhance the teaching and learning process. The Assistant Director collaborates with instructional designers, faculty, and staff across various colleges and units to assess student and faculty needs, as well as student success and engagement. This role involves integrating current and emerging technologies into educational practices, providing technical assistance, creating documentation, and reporting on trends and insights.
