Portneuf Medical Center is a nationally recognized healthcare leader with 205 beds, serving as the region's tertiary care and Level II Trauma Center, housing the Portneuf Heart and Vascular Institute, Portneuf Cancer Center, Portneuf Medical Group, and Portneuf Air Rescue.


Responsibilities

Serves as the primary point of contact for coordinating all transfers in and out of the facility. Works with Portneuf service lines, transport agencies, and referring hospitals to ensure smooth and efficient consultations and transfers. Uses clinical education and experience to connect providers and patients to the appropriate services line.

  • Provides excellent customer service to internal and external providers and staff.
  • Act as primary contact for referring and receiving physicians and facilities.
  • Uses clinical education (within License capability) to facilitate the smooth flow of patients through the department and facility including consults, admissions, and transfers into and out of PMC.
  • Participates as a contributory member of the interdisciplinary team.
  • Completes all documentation timely and accurately within departmental and facility requirements and timelines.
  • Assumes responsibility for meeting in-service requirements and ongoing quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Clinical Licensed Practical Nurse license in the state of Idaho.
  • 2 years experience required (preferred Emergency Department or Flight)
  • Current BLS certification within 90-days
