POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a Quality Supervisor with experience in auditing and IATF knowledge to join our automotive manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a team of hourly associates, conducting internal audits, and ensuring the organization remains compliant with IATF 16949 standards.

CORE FUNCTIONS



  • Supervise and lead a team of hourly associates in the Quality Department.
  • Provide training, guidance, and performance feedback to ensure high-quality standards are maintained.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform internal audits to ensure processes meet company and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain compliance with IATF 16949 requirements and other relevant quality standards.
  • Assist in preparing for and facilitating external audits.
  • Document findings from audits and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Understand calibration and measurement systems
  • Assist with supplier management program including verifying parts as needed.
  • Analyze current processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Support continuous improvement projects that enhance quality performance and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of quality processes and audits.
  • Maintain document control to company standards
  • Report on audit findings, quality metrics, and corrective actions as needed.
  • Investigate and resolve quality issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
  • Assist with root cause analysis and the development of improvement plans.


QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS



  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field required
  • 2-4 years of experience in quality assurance within the automotive manufacturing industry.
  • Proven audit experience, with a strong understanding of IATF 16949 standards.
  • 1-3 years of supervisory experience preferred
  • Willingness and ability to get required certificates
  • Certified Internal Auditor for IATF 1694 preferred
  • Lean Six Sigma Green or Yellow certification preferred


SKILLS, ABILILTIES, AND KNOWLEDGE



  • Skilled in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to write, speak, and comprehend English.
  • Knowledge of Auto CAD.


TRAVEL



  • Occasional travel may be required (domestic and international)


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS



  • This position is subject to moderate work; exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and an amount of force to move or lift objects.

VISUAL ACUITY



  • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly of fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.


WORKING CONDITIONS



  • This position operates in a professional office environment. This role will take trips to the shop floor as needed and will be subject to inside and outside environmental conditions, including heat, noise, vibration, and hazards from a production-based environment.
