Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position $56,000 - $76,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. About the Role:

The Research Analyst-MRR will Monitor changes to OEM, USCG and other services technical directives relating to logistics support (e.g., maintenance, technical data, support and test equipment, facilities, supply support, packaging, handling, storage, transportation, training, training devices and computer resources, design interface (e.g., reliability, maintainability, availability, safety, human factors, commonality, modularity, system architecture)), configuration management and deficiencies for applicability to USCG aircraft.

Additional Responsibilities Include, but are not Limited To:



  • Submits recommendations for action to the applicable engineering cell leader for Government action. Act on Government recommendations.
  • Tracks and provides status of approved recommendations through implementation.
  • Conducts market research to collect and assemble information including, but not limited to, technical data packages, price, availability, quality initiatives in relation to ANSI and ISO 9000 requirements, source approval and validation process, vendor capabilities, vendor past performance.
  • Market research may include site surveys to verify information previously assembled.
  • Coordinates own efforts with Government's for additional site surveys.
  • Writes, reviews and updates policy, procedure and process documents, including, but not limited to: technical manuals, COMDTINST, MPCs, TCTOs, SICRs, ESRs, SRs, PQDRs, ACCB requests and process guides, IAW applicable ALC and USCG documented guidelines and generally accepted commercial or military maintenance or design processes.
  • Generates SICRs for applicable aircraft parts. Submit each SICR with backup documentation to the Government IAW ALCINST 5213.1 (series).
  • Generates TCTOs for applicable aircraft sub-systems, assemblies, and /or parts IAW CGTP PG-85-00-40-A. Assist in validation and verification of TCTO.
  • Assists in reviewing ACCB packages IAW CGTO PG-85-00-70-A.
  • Executes Service Requests IAW Service Request Responsibilities and Procedures, ALCINST 13020.11 (series).
  • Writes MPCs that will enable technicians to properly sustain the aircraft IAW CGTO PG-85-00-230-A.
  • Writes engineering specifications, including schematics and figures that document approved depot-level repairs and processes.
  • Reviews CG-22s recommendations for change to aeronautical publications that are submitted via the TMAPS for applicability, relevance and technical requirements.
  • Submits recommendations for action or Government acceptance.
  • Acts on approved recommendations IAW CGTO PG-85-00-230-A, CGTO PG-85-00-23-A, CGTO PG-85-00-110-A and COMDTINST M13020.1 (series).
  • Reviews drafts of technical publications and technical drawings, including wiring diagrams, for content and format.
  • Participates in meetings for technical, production or programmatic issues.
  • Provides data on an ad hoc basis, including, but not limited to, serial numbers of equipment in new aircraft or equipment that will be inducted in ALMIS, information available in ALMIS and aircraft specifications contained in existing documents or sources.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.


Experience Requirements:



  • Ten (10) years of H-60 maintenance experience.
  • Experience developing and writing maintenance cards, including schematics and figures.
  • Experience submitting aeronautical publication change recommendations to correct/update MPCs and other publications.
  • Experience writing engineering specifications including schematics and figures for the express purpose of documenting approved depot level repairs and processes.
  • Knowledge of routing maintenance task processes for PDM.
  • Experience working on complex projects that require thorough research and coordination with engineering personnel.
  • Experience researching and analyzing information provided in an aircraft's maintenance records.
  • Maintenance experience includes either mechanical or engineering technician positions.


Education Requirements:



  • Bachelor's Degree preferred


Other Required Skills & Abilities:



  • Must be able to effectively communicate with customer and fulfill all duties and responsibilities as listed in the contract.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite including, but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.

This position supports a U.S. Government Contract whose terms require Sawdey Solution Services to staff it only with U.S. Citizens.
