As an Associate Technical Consultant, you will be responsible for building, configuring, troubleshooting and technical analysis of the customers' networks.
You will work with a collaborative team. You will work with customer service owners, process owners and various service delivery groups.

Primary Responsibilities
  • As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for building, configuring, troubleshooting and technical analysis of the customer's networks.
  • Work directly with AHEAD and customer's technical staff to gather technical requirements needed to design and implement LAN WAN communication.
  • Provides design, installation, technical support, upgrades and optimization of various network communications and systems.
  • Provide knowledge transfer to the customer.
  • Performs customer support activities for data communications equipment and networking system products.
  • Updates the Practice Manager on scheduling and project status.
  • Engages in continuous learning to stay abreast on new and emerging technologies. This includes obtaining vendor-related certifications (Associate/Professional level certification preferred - CCNP, CCDP, or similar), to enhance professional development and our corporate standing with our vendors.
Basic Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • 1-3 years of experience is required in the following areas:
  • Basic understanding and experience with Linux OS and fundamentals
  • Basic understanding and experience working with scripting languages (Python) and API's
  • TCP / IP networking and Ethernet technologies.
  • Experience with Cisco Nexus and Catalyst switches, Meraki and ASR/ISR routers
  • Experience with routing protocols: OSPF, EIGRP, BGP
  • Excellent verbal and written skills and ability to document work.
  • Proficient skills in Visio and Microsoft Office
  • Experience with Cisco FTD, Palo Alto and Fortinet firewalls a plus
Requirements
  • Minimum of 1-2 years' experience
  • CCNA certification or equivalent work experience
