Job Title: GNSS Firmware Engineer

Location: Westminster, CO

Our Division: Trimble Agriculture

About the Role

You will be a part of the team responsible for designing, implementing and optimizing firmware that powers our cutting-edge GNSS products for Agricultural applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in C/C++ and Python programming, with experience in embedded software development and understanding of GNSS technology.

What You Will Do

  • Develop, test, and maintain firmware for GNSS receivers for Agriculture.

  • Integrate existing tracking and positioning algorithms into the firmware.

  • Debug and resolve firmware issues, ensuring high-quality and robust solutions.

  • Optimize firmware performance in several key areas such as speed, memory usage and size.

  • Maintain and extend analysis and testing tools in Python.

  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define firmware requirements and specifications.

What Skills & Experience You Should Have

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

  • Proficiency in object oriented programming (C++) and scripting languages (Python, Matlab).

  • Experience with embedded systems and real-time operating systems (RTOS).

  • Familiarity with hardware interfaces and communication protocols (e.g., UART, SPI, I2C).

  • Understanding of GNSS technology.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical concepts clearly.

  • Knowledge of software development tools and version control systems (e.g., Git).
