POSITION SUMMARY

The Supplier Quality Manager will be responsible for leading the RWC Supplier Quality program and executing associated systems, processes, programs/initiatives, practices, and metrics for ensuring and improving overall Supplier Quality performance. This position partners with Quality leaders as well as representatives from Sourcing/Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations and other functions to lead and collaborate on Supplier Quality Management improvements. Develops and manages the program to assess and ensure compliance to any applicable regulations. Manages the RWC supplier audit program, maintains supplier audit reports, supplier qualification documentation, supplier certifications and receiving inspection program. Manages the China SQE program. Leads the supplier quality team and coordinates efforts to evaluate, select, qualify, rate, monitor and improve supplier quality.

RESPONSIBILITIES/EXPECTATIONS

  • Collaborates with the Supply Chain, Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, and R&D to establish guidelines for supplier quality and performance.
  • Manages supplier quality audit program and participates as needed. Including Asia SQE program.
  • Plays a major role in the supplier selection process, evaluation of potential suppliers and the supplier qualification process.
  • Oversees audit/assessment of current and future suppliers ensuring compliance with requirements.
  • Oversees validations and qualifications of supplier facility to qualify manufacturing processes and overall quality of part/component manufacturing.
  • Oversees supplier quality rating program.
  • Develop strategy for continuous supplier quality improvement.
  • Develop risk-based programs and procedures for supplier transfers, supplier qualifications and supplier performance and productivity improvement.
  • Leads any product/process transfers of suppliers or to & from in house to suppliers. Manages the Part Evaluation and Approval Process (PEAP).
  • Oversees the Receiving Inspection program.
  • Create benchmarks to measure department performance. Reports on key site supplier metrics and KPI's.
  • Create reports that measure and track supplier quality performance to identify opportunities for improvements.
  • Represents Supplier Quality performance internally and externally including during the interactions with regulatory agencies and suppliers.
  • Provides support in investigations and reports on supplier corrective actions and timeliness including NCMR's, SCARS and supplier related CAPA's.
  • Participates in team project meetings for new product development.
  • Key member of project teams approving changes to existing products/components.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technical Management, or equivalent work experience.

Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years professional experience in Supplier Quality.
  • SAP software experience is preferred.
  • Statistical analysis (Minitab software experience preferred).
  • Competent in Microsoft Word/Excel.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • This position will primarily be in an office environment.
  • Will require interaction with manufacturing, procurement and the engineering testing lab.
  • This position will require up to 25% travel (domestic and international)
