Psychometrician I

ACT Education Corp seeks a Psychometrician I - under guidance of senior staff, lead the planning and execution of qualitative and quantitative analyses in support of ACT products and services and conduct, interpret, and present the results of scaling, equating, calibration, and other psychometric and research studies for ACT products and services. Support solutions for products as well as research, design and development of next generation assessments that facilitate adaptability and personalization by leveraging digital technologies, new measurement models and digital data sources. Provide psychometric support, including test construction, field test design and item analysis, equating design and analysis, and score comparability research. Prepare technical and/or interpretive materials and create and maintain technical specifications and documentation for psychometric processes and procedures related assessment programs. Increase visibility of ACT research through contributions to staff publications, presentations, and presence across relevant national and international research communities. Remote employment available anywhere within the U.S. Annual salary for this position is $90,000.

Minimum Requirements: Doctoral degree in Psychometrics, Educational Measurement, Psychometric Foundations, Psychological Measurement, Psychological and Quantitative Foundations, or a closely related field with one year of experience in research, educational measurement and/or psychometrics, which can be gained through degree coursework, projects, internships and/or on-the-job experience, that includes experience with computer programming in R, SAS, or Python and with IRT software packages (Bilog, FlexMIRT, Winsteps, etc.), a solid conceptual understanding of psychometrics, and participating on cross-functional teams.
