Job Description

This position will focus primarily on the provision of individual, relationship/couples counseling, and crisis intervention to a wide range of presenting concerns and acuity levels. The position requires daytime, as well as some evening and weekend hours.

Essential Job Functions:

* Provides individual therapy, relationship/couples therapy, crisis intervention, group therapy, and clinical supervision (as needed for master's level trainees), outreach, and consultation services to the university community.

* Provides clinical services to diverse client populations and whose clinical work, supervision, and community intervention is infused with ethical and multicultural competency and who demonstrates clear interest and commitment to all dimensions of diversity.

* Outstanding interpersonal skills demonstrated in speaking, listening, and writing.

* Ability to work collaboratively and creatively in developing outreach education programming.

* Demonstrated ability to work collegially and collaboratively with colleagues, campus departments, and student organizations.

* Interest in and ability to work with practicum students and advanced doctoral students as part of our training program.

* Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree in psychology, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or social work and relevant licensure (or eligible to be licensed within 12 months) within the State of Missouri.

Preferred Qualifications

* Active full licensure as a Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, or Psychologist and ability to obtain licensure in the State of Missouri within one year of hire is preferred.
* Recent graduates who have passed their profession's licensure exam and are actively accruing supervised clinical hours may be considered.
* Master's degree in social work, Masters Degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology, or Doctorate in counseling or clinical psychology from an APA-accredited program is considered.
* If from a Doctoral Degree, a successful completion of an APA-accredited internship.

Anticipated Hiring Range

$51,875 - $53,000 annually, commensurate with experience, education, and internal equity
