The anticipated salary range for this role is between $134,000.00and $196,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, SMBC offers a competitive portfolio of benefits to its employees.

Role Description

The Team Lead position within the Business Intelligence & Reporting team in JRI-A will be responsible for the overall support of the Alteryx platform and act as an overall subject manner expert. Under the direction of the Manager of Business Intelligence & Reporting, the Team Lead role will lead the development of advance analytic solutions within SMBC involving full life cycle development of Alteryx workflows and applications and the support and maintenance of the server environment at an enterprise level. The Team Lead will work across many different business domains within SMBC and its group companies to continue to engage and empower the usage of Alteryx to support key analytic initiatives.

Role Objectives
  • Act as the subject manner expert around the Alteryx platform and underlying technologies understanding industry best practices aligning to the banking domain.
  • Build, optimize, and automate complex workflows in Alteryx Designer that ensure reusability and scalability.
  • Manage and monitor the Alteryx Server which include performance monitoring and turning, security implementation and validation, and data connectivity.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues within the Alteryx platform either at the designer or server level, working with cross functional IT teams (eg. networking, security, architecture) as needed.
  • Adhere to SMBC organizational security and compliance standards around usage of the Alteryx platform.
  • Collaborate with both technical and non-technical business stakeholders to define project requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline data processes and operations that would benefit with the usage of Alteryx.
  • Create and maintain standard operating procedures around the usage of the Alteryx platform to ensure consistency and knowledge sharing.
  • Mentor junior developers and other analysts on best practices on development and analytics.
  • Stay up to date on the latest Alteryx features including supporting technologies.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Alteryx Designer and Alteryx Server
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience administering Alteryx Server in a multi-server environment
  • Experiencein advanced efficient workflow design (eg. Macros, RegEx)and best practices
  • Experience in administering Alteryx server (eg. architecture, scheduling, data connection, DCM)
  • Experience with Agile methodologies
  • Experience with SQL,relational database management system, data modelling, and normalization
  • Experience in implementing enterprise infrastructure solutions working with multiple partners and project delivery teams
  • Ability to take a lead role and take ownership of complex integration deliveries
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work in a team environment and across different domains within the organization
  • Self-starter with ability to mutli-task and to maintain momentum with solid organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Alteryx certified
  • Familiarity with REST APIs
  • Experience using Atlassian JIRA and/or Confluence
