PURPOSE

This position assesses, designs, develops, implements, delivers, and evaluates innovative leadership training and development programs based on strategic needs of the organization. This position also closely partners with various departments and subject matter resources within the company to provide specialized industry knowledge and support content development as well as delivery of best in class learning solutions and serves as a key business partner between teams within the organization.

This role will require 80 - 85% travel and must be located near a major airport.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Delivers a broad range of training programs with a focus on leadership development. These programs incorporate adult learning principles to develop competencies, skills and knowledge and ensure knowledge transfer to our leaders and professionals.
  • Works with acquisition partners as a consultant and delivers impactful change management courses to where advised.
  • Individually coach and mentor leaders and team members; may assist in planning and development of succession planning.
  • Collaborates with various partners to determine training needs and develop new solutions or modify and improve existing programs to achieve the expressed needs.
  • Works cross-functionally with subject matter experts, Instructional Designers and the field to develop interactive training solutions and supporting materials including: Facilitator Guides, Participant Guides, Job Aids and other educational materials.
  • Coach and mentor other team members in facilitation and training; conducts Train the Trainer (TTT) sessions allowing for information to be disseminated quickly and consistently throughout the organization.
  • Monitors and reports on ROI and general effectiveness of training and development of employees; conduct internal consulting with all levels of employees to ensure training meets personal and business objectives.
  • Participate in corporate work groups to develop and implement corporate procedural standards, as well as outside civic and community groups to further business interests of corporation.


  • Coordinate the maintenance of accurate training records, monitoring costs, and maintaining budgetary control of training activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 5 years of related experience in training facilitation; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 3-5 years leadership experience managing a team strongly preferred.

Professional certifications, preferred:



  • DiSC Certification
  • Achieve Global (Leadership, Customer Service, Professional Selling)
  • EPI (Master Certification for Leadership Program and Customer Loyalty, Executive Coaching, Situational Leadership, 3M Total Quality Management - TQM, and Problem Solving)
  • Corporate Trainer Certification, Criterion Referenced Instruction (CRI), or Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP)

  • Excellent facilitation skills with large groups of diverse roles and backgrounds.
  • Ability to organize and efficiently self-manage multiple projects and daily workload simultaneously, proven track record of successful time management and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills with strong attention to detail and organizational savvy. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices and procedures.
  • Strong project management skills with ability to following a project through completion with minimal direction and strong personal initiative.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills.
  • Ability to work remotely and independently with little or no supervision, including ability to rely on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Self-motivated with a results orientated approach to daily tasks and responsibilities.
  • Excellent influencing skills, with the ability to collect data, establish facts, and present them to key stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills including Windows, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook.
  • Tremendous sense of urgency with a passion for ensuring learning.
  • Engaging, self-starter with highly effective interpersonal and communication skills that attract and grow lasting relationships.

  • Work environment will vary from an office setting where the individual would generally be sedentary to moving around training room and presenting to a large audience.
  • May be required to occasionally lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects up to 80 pounds.
  • Position will be required to travel to locations where training will be conducted - approx. 80% - 85%.

In addition to the base wage listed, this position is also eligible to earn an annual bonus subject to changes in plan design and documents and in accordance with applicable law. Eligibility and the amount of the bonus varies based on overall company success, thresholds met and other terms and conditions of the Company's active bonus policy for the respective year.
