Entegris seeks a qualified Manager State and Federal Policy to join its Government Affairs legal team. This position will report to the Director, Government Affairs responsible for supporting global, federal and state policy and regulatory affairs. The candidate will serve as an advocate for Entegris, tracking activity, developing key relationships and developing policy and political strategy on a range of legislative and regulatory issues, including but not limited to the following:

  • Tax and tariffs
  • Export controls
  • State and local incentive opportunities, including Chips Act related opportunities
  • Sustainability regulations
  • Manufacturing policy
  • Other policy issues affecting the semiconductor ecosystem at the state and federal levels.

The ideal candidate will have a significant role in developing internal and external communications for key audiences, including the Entegris Leadership Team, other Entegris division leaders and state and federal elected officials/regulators.

The candidate must have excellent communication skills, analytical capabilities, strong interpersonal skills, be able to quickly and thoroughly analyze complex legislation in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to manage multiple projects across different jurisdictions, including government advocacy projects at the state and federal levels. He or she will combine creativity and intellectual excellence with the organizational skills to manage various campaigns, projects and initiatives.

In this role you will:

  • Tracking, monitoring and communicating state and federal legislative and regulatory activity for high impacts to the company.
  • Analyzing and evaluating complex legislation and legislative trends to assess potential long-term impact on Entegris in consultation with internal stakeholders across multiple teams.
  • Identifying new opportunities to favorably advance Entegris's business and policy agenda at the state and local level.
  • Leading production of internal and external communications, including newsletters, fact sheets, election materials and other analysis used to inform key stakeholders.
  • Drafting talking points, position papers, and external narratives setting forth Entegris policy perspectives and arguments.
  • Developing relationships with internal stakeholders across business units, keeping relevant business teams apprised of important policy developments and seeking feedback on novel legislation and regulatory issues.
  • Developing relationships with external entities, including policymakers, outside counsel, trade associations and industry colleagues to build our advocacy network and advance Entegris' goals.

What we seek:

  • Three or more years of relevant experience required, with preference for time with state or federal legislative or Administrative entity or trade association.
  • Experience managing multiple projects independently in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communications skill, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Strong advocacy/negotiation skills.
  • Willingness to take on and learn new issue areas that arise.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally to understand business goals and identify global legislative and regulatory opportunities and risks.
  • Genuine interest in and excitement about government affairs and advocacy.
  • Willingness to travel to Washington DC and states as necessary (~10%)

Outstanding candidates will have:

  • Advanced degree - JD or Masters
  • Experience in semiconductor or other advanced manufacturing industry preferred

  • Salary in the $93,000.00-$140,000.00 a year range with actual pay dependent on the candidate's overall skills for the role
