Product Engineer Intern - Summer 2025

The Role:
Our site in Colorado Springs, CO is seeking a/an Product Engineer Intern to join our team for the Summer 2025 season. This assignment is intended to be 12-14 weeks in duration.
As a Product Design Intern, you will work closely with a Sr. R&D Engineer and collaborate with other engineers within the global Advanced Materials Handling Division of Entegris. During this internship, you will focus on the validation and qualification of new injection molded components for our FOUP product line. This internship requires a mixture of product and project engineering.
The AMH Division focuses on developing wafer transport and processing products used by integrated device makers (IDMs), original equipment makers (OEMs), and wafer growers in the semiconductor industry. Our customers require high quality, consistent, reliable, and clean products to produce high tech devices.

What You'll Do:
* Make small changes to CAD models as needed
* Construct pre-production samples for empirical validation testing
* Recommend product performance and qualification test parameters
* Document validation and qualification results
* Interpret, document, report, and present interim and final engineering analysis

What We Seek:

* Knowledge of the mechanics of materials 3D CAD design (SolidWorks or Creo preferred)Experience with and/or knowledge of statistics is a plus

* Participate in a project team comprising quality and manufacturing engineers, schedulers, product engineers, project managers, and product managers
* Have a strong desire to manage your projects from start to finish.
* Have an ability to communicate ideas and be open to feedback from internal and external teams
* Have a willingness to leverage the team's strengths by sharing knowledge and support

Desired Major(s) & Graduation Year:
* Desired Major: Mechanical engineering
* Must be enrolled in an undergraduate program with a graduation date of December 2025 or later

Compensation:

$20-$30 hourly range with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role
