Schedule Details:Monday - Friday with hours between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM depending on department needs.
What You Will Do:
The Physician Liaison serves as a key representative for the organization, building and maintaining strong relationships with physicians, medical practices, and healthcare providers. This role focuses on understanding the needs of the physician community and facilitating collaboration between the organization and healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Enhances our provider clinical relationships through effective interactions and outreach. Communicates effectively and consistently with providers and provider staff to collect and verify information in a timely manner.
- Does routine visits to key physician offices to assess effectiveness & timeliness of PHC system services.
- Develops and executes communication plans to optimize operational changes and adherence to processes and procedures.
- Prepares and executes on boarding and off boarding activities and procedures for all providers on the medical staff.
- Responsible for PHC initiatives as they relate to provider education and training such as annual regulatory training and other compliance related training, including tracking CBL training of providers and community connect employees in Net learning.
- Communicates issues for concerns of physicians and other providers and their office staff to the departments and leadership.
- Resolves operational issues whilecollaborating with internal departments as necessary. Analyzes operational issues and reports concerns to the organization.
- Coordinatestargeted events for those on the medical staff and their office staff.
- Executes project work, plans, and timelines.
- Coordinates the student and preceptor process
- Liaison for hospitalist group
- Coordinates and provideshospital tours for new hire candidates.
- Works with existing medical staff providers to update and maintain their contact procedures
- Coordinates Impravata enrollment and management
- Schedules and runs all Medical Staff Administrative Meetings, including minute taking and room assignment.
- Assists in the preparation of credentialing files and reports for the Credentials Committee, Medical Executive Committee and Operations Board
- Performs various administrative functions, including maintaining and updating project records and department files
What you will need:
- Associate's Degree in a related field. Bachelor's Degree (Preferably in Business or Marketing) preferred.
- At least 2-5 years experience in health care, preferably in marketing or business development. Clinical and/or sales background desired.
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Demonstrated strong written and oral communication and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated computer skills are required, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Access.
- Must have flexibility to adapt to change and the ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast paced environment.
- Must assure discreet and confidential handling of all business related information.
