Overview

CAES - San Jose is seeking an Intern to support Radio Frequency Engineering. In this internship, you will work in a highly motivated team to help support RF/Microwave Engineering projects. This will be a 3-month summer internship. This role is in San Jose, CA and there is no relocation available for this role.


Responsibilities

  • Support daily activities within the RF engineering team, contributing to both routine and complex tasks.
  • Conduct laboratory testing and characterization of RF components using industry-standard test equipment.
  • Analyze and summarize collected data using RF simulation tools such as ADS or Microwave Office.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical problems.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers on the evaluation and co-design of RF circuits.
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Junior or Senior year pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Relevant coursework in electromagnetics, microwave, and RF technologies.
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.8.
  • This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a "US Person" under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license).

Preferred:

  • Must show definite interest and desire to work on process problems and improvements in a manufacturing environment or engineering setting.
  • Ability and desire to work hands-on in a team environment is necessary.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written are required to work with a wide variety of people.

Salary Range: $30.00- $35.00 hourly. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well business results.
