Job Description
The Technician - ERC Shop Service 4 is responsible for repairing the refrigeration systems of the Cold Drink Equipment in the Equipment Refurbishment Center (ERC).
What your day will look like:
- Installing and testing electrical components on machines
- Testing, repairing, and certifying vending, merchandising, and fountain equipment
- Repairing Refrigeration systems and testing modular refrigeration decks
- Recycling refrigerant
- Operate Handheld
- Performs appropriate duties as assigned by management
What you need to succeed:
- Minimum age 18 years old
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies
- Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines
- Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets
- Ability to utilize all Company provided resources and technology
- Two year certificate from college or technical school; or 24 to 36 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- EPA Clean Air Act 608 Type I license
- Advanced knowledge of Cold Drink Equipment and/or appliance repair
- Demonstrated knowledge of refrigeration cycle
- Knowledge of Electrical Theory and practical applications
- Ability to read wiring diagrams, repair manuals and use a Multi-Meter
- Effective quality management and technical skills needed
- Repeated sitting, standing, walking, pushing/pulling, climbing stairs, and lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50
- lbs.
- Continuous bending, kneeling, squatting, grasping, reaching, fine manipulation and exposure to chemicals and noise
