Garage & Warehouse Multi Region Operations Manager

Position Description:

The Garage and Warehouse Multi Region Operations Manager primary task is to oversee and standardize the G&W operations across all regional garages. The G & W Operations Multi Region Operations Manager will act as a liaison between G & W operations and the VP of Field Operations. The position will require travel between all regional garages on a regular basis.

Core Responsibilities:



  • Check in with each regional garage on a regular basis to ensure the equipment needs (both mechanized and non mechanized) are met
  • Provide analysis on amount of equipment being rented and perform cost benefit analysis on renting vs purchase
  • Assist the VP of Field Operations in creating the annual equipment budget and managing that budget
  • Work with project teams on requests of purchases for equipment over $5000 that must be purchased and tracked through the G&W for depreciation purposes
  • Track utilization of BCU equipment and outside equipment rentals
  • Review and approve vendor invoices for fleet vehicles and fuel accounts
  • Review weekly cost and labor reports associated with G&W Operations
  • Work with G & W Managers to ensure daily updates of labor and equipment in HCSS dispatcher program
  • Coordinate sharing of equipment between garages to ensure jobs are equipped with proper equipment and that company equipment is meeting utilization requirement
  • Coordinate with Fleet manager on rolling stock truck leases and maintenance, dash camera monitoring, insurance claims as well as coordinate with leasing partnering firm and BCU Risk Management
  • Coordinate with Lease Management companies and BCU internal resources to maintain registrations, DOT, IRP, IFTA and HUT requirements
  • Coordinate with Master Mechanic on status of existing equipment and provide feedback on when to retire or replace equipment
  • Work with equipment manufacturers and vendors to keep the best equipment for the work BCU completes in the fleet and available to project teams
  • Communicate with BOND G & W in all states and all BCU business units including in person visits on a regular basis to each garage location
  • Coordinate with BCU Safety to maintain FMCSA Drug Testing Pool
  • Ensure DOT compliance for BBI and BCU owned equipment
  • Review cost of garage operations with VP of Field Operations and Assistant Controller. Make adjustments within the garage operations based on actual cost compared to forecasted cost under the oversight of the VP of Field Operations
  • Provide insight to VP of Field Operations and assist in creating and maintaining the annual capital expense budget for the G&W not limited to but including leased vs owned ratio of yellow iron


Qualifications:



  • BS in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Proven organizational management skills to maximize operation efficiencies
  • Software skill and database software experience with HeavyJob, MS Excel, MS Word & MS Outlook
