Job Purpose

The role is accountable to perform compliance assurance assessments of company and/or contractor personnel to ensure construction and maintenance activities are performed and documented with all applicable Federal and State code requirements, work methods, policies, and procedures.

This position is also accountable to facilitate regulatory audits, respond to PSC inquiries and compliance finding reporting.

Key Accountabilities
  • Data extract and report building from various applications (iAuditor / PowerBi).
  • Manage engagement with state regulators, facilitate audits, respond to regulatory inquiries and compliance finding reporting.
  • Regulatory audit response data gathering, review and submission.
  • Incident data gathering as required by external regulators.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of pipeline safety programs for compliance with State and Federal Code, National Grid policies and procedures.
  • Conduct second line assurance reviews of functional and procedurally required records/documentation created in the field during installation, repair, or execution of mandated activities.
  • Manage and track commitments associated with regulatory orders and audits.
  • Identify deficiencies and overall pipeline safety performance trends or patterns which may adversely impact the safety of system performance.
  • Provide recommendations and assist in implementation of corrective actions in order to improve quality and safety of operations performance.
  • Provide routine performance updates at Safety Briefs or Performance Hubs to help field operations personnel increase focus on areas of pipeline safety management.
  • Reviews work for accuracy and assure that all details are complete.
  • Work closely with Operations to identify improvement opportunities based upon First and Second Line Assurance results.
Supervisory/Interpersonal- Experience Required
  • People-orientated person, who is comfortable working with and challenging a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills with demonstrable experience of applying them in technical and business report writing and the development and delivery of presentations.
Qualifications
  • Ability to analyze information and synthesize themes and trends.
  • Experience working in the natural gas or other regulated industry.
  • Bachelors' degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet time/date driven mandates.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations, safety rules, company policies, work methods and procedures.
  • Familiarity with the Company Operator Qualification program.
  • Uses direct persuasion to influence others using data, logic or a solid business case.
  • Takes personal responsibility for correcting problems promptly
  • Familiarity with company data information systems (CRIS, CSS, MAXIMO, STORMS, FSL, and GIS for example) is desired
  • Valid driver's license required

Salary

$69,000 - $81,000 a year
