Know Your Rights: https://www.eeoc.gov/sites/default/files/2022-10/EEOC_KnowYourRights_screen_reader_10_20.pdf Responsibilities Provides laboratory information system support to the Clinical Laboratory department, as follows, 1) involved with lab facilities in the build and maintenance of the laboratory information system (LIS), reference laboratory database, interface sharing components, billing, and dictionaries with direct supervision by the Laboratory Director or designee, 2) in collaboration with the local Laboratory Director, ensures that individual tests and test panels comply with regulatory billing requirements, 3) involved in the building and validation, maintenance and monitoring of instrument and billing interfaces to ensure accuracy, 4) performs annual LIS needs assessment for each facility's Laboratory department, 5) develops appropriate project lists and work plans for project completion, 6) assists section heads in streamlining LIS processes within the laboratory, 7) involved in implementing and validating local LIS system upgrades, 8) involved with the maintenance and troubleshooting of the general laboratory and pathology LIS component, 9) provides customized NPR reports to laboratory management, 10) assists in facilitating any issues referred to LIS Support, 11) provides training of laboratory staff on the use and maintenance of the LIS, 12) ensures LIS policies, procedures and processes meet accreditation requirements, 13) works with local and corporate IT departments on Laboratory department projects, 14) collaborates with corporate and facility Information Systems and Business Office departments in CDM maintenance and implementing system-wide changes to the LIS / CDM, 15) directs and coordinates LIS processes and personnel in the functions of the LIS, 15) responsible for the activities listed above in the absence of a local LIS Analyst, 16) other tasks or responsibilities may be assigned by the department manager/director. Associate or Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, or related Sciences, or related experience required
