As a Market Access Regional Manager supporting the US Pharma Team, you will be trusted to work on regional payer account management and pull-through performance for the Alcon Pharmaceutical Portfolio. This role will work closely with Market Access strategy, Account Management Team, and Sales to help identify regional access opportunities and secure competitive access for the Alcon Pharma portfolio. You will support field sales market access training, drive field pull-through execution, and be a key liaison between field sales and Market Access. In addition, the Market Access Regional Manager will develop and execute pull-through business plans aligned with field sales and market access goals, as well as achieve Alcon Pharma access goals within assigned payer accounts.

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Assist with analysis to develop compelling proposals and negotiations strategies, through use of business acumen, problem solving skills, comprehensive account and industry knowledge, and financial modeling.
  • Build effective pull through strategies and provide pull through support for sales teams that will drive plan performance, ensure contracts meet profitability targets and ultimately meet overall sales objectives.
  • Minimize and/or remove coverage barriers associated with patient access to Alcon Pharma product(s) with targeted custom (PBM affiliation) Regional payer accounts.
  • Establish and build strong customer relationships that allow for growth, profitability, and predictability
  • Work with field sales personnel to analyze territory data and identify pull-through opportunities and messaging to build HCP prescribing confidence.
  • Mentor field sales personnel on how to effectively communicate coverage, patient access, and affordability messaging information to HCPs.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to create and deploy continuous training to support all Market Access pull-through execution.
  • Monitor and evaluate industry/managed care trends and communicate relevant information to key stakeholders (eg. Field Sales, Payers, and HCPs).
  • Share updates and status reports to cross functional team and partners to enhance the field sales team selling opportunities in their marketplace.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +15 yrs; Assoc.+11 yrs; M.S.+4 yrs; PhD+3 yrs)
  • 7 Years of Relevant Experience
  • 5 Years of Demonstrated Leadership
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
  • Travel Requirements: Domestic up to 50%
