Navarro Research and Engineering is recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer in West Mifflin, Pennsylvania. The Naval Nuclear Laboratory develops advanced naval nuclear propulsion technology for the safety and reliability of our Navy's submarine and aircraft fleet. Our company is looking for a Mechanical Engineer member to join the Submarine Spent Fuel Shipping Container Recapitalization Project within Reactor Servicing Systems. The Mechanical Engineer member will perform engineering evaluations in support of the design and analysis of shipping container support equipment. Responsibilities will include developing conceptual designs and eventually detailed engineering drawings, structural analysis, performing alignment & tolerance studies (fit-up analysis) or developing design specifications. The engineer should have experience with mechanical equipment design and structural analysis. Additionally, the engineer may support engineering and business activities of the Reactor Servicing organization, as needed.
Desired Knowledge and Skills
Annual Salary Range (based on full-time 40 hours per week) Salary Range: $75,000 - $130,000 depending on education and years of experience. In accordance with the Navarro Research and Engineering, Inc (Navarro) salary determination process, Navarro takes into consideration the level of assigned job duties and responsibilities and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience relative to internal peers and the external labor market. A candidate's salary history will not be used in compensation decisions. |
